lettersOne of the first things you discover when you put an inspirational website online, is that a lot of people will write to you. Many of the letters I receive are complimentary, praising the website and its content. Some are more specific, mentioning a section of the site or a poem the writer especially likes. Still others are intensely raw and personal from people who feel comfortable enough to confide and share their private thoughts and feelings. Mail is always welcome. I feel fortunate that there are so many interesting individuals who not only visit Inspiration for the Spirit, but also take the time to write.

Peace and Love always,
Patricia

Oriah, I am in awe of the depth of these poems as each one grips me to the core of my being till I choke with emotions-feeling all at once the agony of truth, the acknowledgement of truth, the joy of truth. Never has a poem, a book, captured the essence of life as this one has. Oriah, you are joy, you are spirit and light and love. Thank you, thank you.

Goodbye, Dr. Spock is a beautiful, tender, and poignant reflection of how child rearing is also a process by which parents find their core, and find themselves involved in a relationship of mutual growth.

I can feel your pain, I lost my only child, Jessica age 18, in a car accident five years ago and have just now separated from my husband. I would not be here if it were not for my faith. I truly believe there is a reason for everything that happens in this world and we learn and become stronger and can help others from our own experiences. I have my good and bad days, but God sees me through them. I just wanted to say, God bless you, and with God all things are possible!

Good selection of poetry! Edna’s husband Eugen Boissevain was previously married to Inez Milholland, “the woman on the horse” in the famously huge suffrage parades in New York and DC in 1911-12. She died tragically in 1916. He remarried in 1923.

I spent a good long while just now reading some of your poetry. I had no idea you had written so much. Really extraordinary but knowing you I can hardly be surprised. You are amazing and so glad our friendship has stayed strong for so many years. I treasure it.

Sometimes people need half the amount of time to bring closer to an end of something that happened to cause them to be unhappy, and sometimes they never find that closure ever. So whether you find words or not it is healthy for him to have been able to express what ever was inside his heart. That alone releases us from what is holding us back …. If more people would take the time to express themselves with communication, whether another expects it or not, is only going to make them stronger in the end on their part and hopefully it also brings closure to the one receiving it. Although it won’t change anything half the time to bring those back together, but at least one made an effort to free themselves from their own pain or regret. To regret something, though, is not healthy because if it was not taken as a learning experience of that failure or disappointment and it is holding us back from what the future truly holds for new and renewing blessings to come. Never give love or receive love for another people or thing that you cannot genuinely give or receive with unconditional love always from your heart, mind, and spirit. Give on to others as you would like them to do unto you is not always the case because then your asking that your giving be a condition. yet it is also how one should view one’s heart in the sense of the saying. Sorry for rambling on your post, but this post inspired me to comment from my heart…May this year bring an elevated sense of closure to all the world that allows love’s pain to eat at them instead of finding the lessons they should have seen instead. Thanks for reading my thoughts, and may your page be filled with overwhelming love that is unconditionally given to and from all who find this like me.

    Hi, Pat!

I just happened upon your site again today and had forgotten all about it. I read your lovely lovely poem, Diamond Drops, and was elated. It’s so beautiful and shows your love of nature so clearly.

    Take care and keep writing!
    Carrie
