Try not to question my love,
For I have sought deep within me
Cussed at me
Cursed and been
Cruel to me
Do not lay blame on my heart
For yesterday’s lovers are spent
Gone from me
Hurriedly
Sent from me
Drink not from love’s stagnant brook
As fresh waters baptise our dream
Wash away
Fervently
Jealousy
Sanction no thoughts to conspire
Or detriment bring to our cause
Just come to me
Love
I will comfort thee

We look to find ourselves in the other,
always turning ’round the other
in pink taffeta, little girl pirouettes,
all grown up and still
twirling for him, as if some coyness
could suffice the long road … Read more
