Carrie Ryman is a native of Ohio. She attended Kent State University where she studied Journalism and launched her writing career, contributing feature and human interest stories, including her popular sports/adventure series, to KSU’s The Gateway Press. An avid nature lover, Carrie has participated in CVNRA’s Nature Writer’s Workshop as well as AllWriter’s Workshop, Waukesha’s Big Read, and other local community events to promote literature. She has done poetry reviews for the online literary magazine, Sotto Voce; has submitted fiction, nonfiction, and poetry to various publications; and has read her poems at Martha Merrill’s Books, Brady’s Café, and Arabica Coffeehouse. Carrie enjoys all forms of writing—poetry, essays, fiction, and nonfiction—and is currently working on her first novel. She is married and lives is Wisconsin.
