Drowned in a Raindrop

woman behind wet glassLike a raindrop you entered my life
Liquid, alive and agleam
You gently soaked through my skin
And the raindrop turned to stream

Sometimes your ripples are calm
And sometimes you flow like a storm
I don’t mind the change in your mood
Because always your waters are warm

Your comforting rhythms engulf
I’m lost in your currents I know
Your tide rose up over my head
And drowned me a long time ago
